A vineyard through history
Château de Haute-Serre, in the south of the Causses du Quercy Regional Park, has a rich history of winegrowing dating back to the Middle Ages. Owned by the abbey of Lagarde Dieu and then acquired by the Dadine family in the 16th century, it has long been a symbol of local nobility. Géron Dadine, a hero of the time, is said to have saved the Holy Headdress of Jesus, thus reinforcing the château's identity.
After the scourge of phylloxera, the vineyard fell into oblivion until Georges Vigouroux revived production in 1971, breathing new life into this exceptional terroir. Today, his son Bertrand-Gabriel continues this tradition, seeking to reveal the finesse and power of Malbec, the symbol of Cahors.
