A family of passionate winemakers

Founded in 1887 in the Lot district, Georges Vigouroux company has much contributed to the promotion of the wines of South West France. Pioneer of the Cahors Appellation and specialist of the French Malbec, the company with its award winning estates and brands of renown has acquired a great deal of experience with the Malbec grape, orginally from the Lot area.

With a modern production line and logistic platform, Georges Vigouroux SAS distributes the wines of the estates as well as a large range of wines of South West France selected among the best producers of the different appellations.

Visionary and pioneer, Georges Vigouroux has launched the family business in the luxury wine tourism in the 1980’s with the acquisition of the legendary Château de Mercuès Relais & Châteaux Hôtel**** and the creation of a vineyard and an amazing underground cellar.

Entering into the 21st Century the Vigouroux family wanted to completely open up to the world of wine and to make a case for their favourite wine variety, Malbec, but also for the fruits of the region’s agriculture – Quercy saffron and truffles.
